Adiabatic cooling consists in spraying water drops which evaporate absorbing heat from the surrounding air: Approx. 690 W of cooling is provided for every 1L of evaporated water.
As 1 L/h of water can be sprayed by using as little as 10 W of electric power, the energy advantage is huge 690W cooling for just 10W power typical.
ChillBooster is an adiabatic air cooling system for use on chillers and drycoolers, for all air-conditioning and refrigeration applications.
ChillBooster atomises water into very fine droplets that evaporate spontaneously, cooling the air. The coil is thus cooled by a flow of colder air and droplets of water, allowing more favourable operating conditions. In addition, the droplets that evaporate from the surface of the fins actively contribute to the cooling process, increasing the booster effect.
Chillbooster therefore increases energy efficiency and cooling output of the chiller or drycooler.
On hot summer days the Chiller efficiency can increase by 20% typically with significant increases in equivalent power output.
