Pharmaceutical manufacture

The pharmaceutical manufacturing industry makes considerable use of chemical processes that are highly affected by the environmental conditions.

In the manufacturing process of uncoated pills, the humidity and temperature must be controlled: if the humidity is too low, a hard outer layer can form before the pill dry completely; on the other hand, if the humidity is too high the pill will not dry at a proper rate and the powder used as a surfacing will not adhere.

The speed of many chemical reactions, including processes such as corrosion, depends on the relative humidity. Precise humidity control means greater control over the processes and thus increased efficiency.

In most cases the ideal range of relative humidity is from 35 to 50%.

heaterSteam, humiSteam and humiFog are ideal products owing to their close control.
